PLE was founded out of a dire need to accommodate children who are often forgotten in the traditional sphere of teaching. Our founder encountered firsthand the devastating and long-lasting effects these ill-equipped institutions have set on students well beyond the classroom. Despite the support of leadership and the various inclusive and creative approaches used, children still achieved meager improvements academically. Through trial and error and reflection it was apparent that rebuilding was the only viable way to provide education that was appropriate, engaging, and most importantly, effective.

It is widely accepted that human-beings learn best when allowed to experience topics in ways that permit and encourage the individual to make sense and define the subject at hand. Thus, PLE seeks to seamlessly integrate student-centered ethos with a supportive environment that empowers both academic success and personal identity.
